We empower individuals through bridging skills gaps, developing knowledge and confidence through high-quality tailored study programmes, apprenticeships and commercial training.

Our Mission filters down to our main aims and objectives, which are:

 Supporting young people, especially those disadvantaged and disengaged through study programmes to build a brighter future.

  • Reduce NEET by offering an alternative post-16 provision
  • Equip young people with employability skills and increasing their opportunity for securing employment or further                  training
  • Develop core skills in learners to enable them to positively contribute to society

Promote apprenticeships with young people and support employers to upskill their existing workforce

  • Increase the number of apprenticeships delivered year on year
  • Consistently maintain success rates above the national average through high quality training
  • Provide an excellent level of individualised service to employers so that they invest in apprenticeships

Evolve the business to meet the skills gaps of local and national employers

  • Identify new funding opportunities so that we have the tools to help people of all ages to fulfil their potential
  • Flexible and responsive to accommodate the training needs of employers and their employees
  • Promote a welcoming and inclusive environment for all learners and employers

Promote a supportive and sustainable work environment for our employees in which they are encouraged to develop their skills and feel valued

Be outstanding wardens of WBTC to ensure the organisation is robust, prepared and agile to meet future opportunities or challenges

  • Create internal controls through leadership & governance functions to utilise resources effectively
  • Develop strong risk management practices to proactively identify, assess and address potential risks that could                    impact our ability to meet our objectives
  • Create an assessment framework to regularly assess WBTC’s performance against its strategic goals.
