Study Programme Tutor: Functional Skills and Employability

Are you a passionate and flexible educator ready to make a real difference in young people’s lives? Due to programme success and expansion WBTC is looking for a dedicated Study Programme Tutor to join our Great Start and Functional Skills team.

We are a not-for-profit training provider delivering vital skills to the local area. In this role, you will be key to helping learners achieve their full potential.

The role:

You will design, plan, and deliver Functional Skills (maths and English) from Entry Level to Level 2, alongside Employability Skills through both group sessions and one-to-one support.

This dynamic role requires you to:

  • Innovate: Create engaging sessions and resources for face-to-face and online delivery.
  • Mentor: Track progress, provide crucial information, Advice and Guidance (IAG), and help learners overcome barriers (including those with EHCPs)
  • Collaborate: Work with other tutors to embed literacy and numeracy across the curriculum
  • Maintain Quality: Uphold out high standards for teaching, safeguarding, and compliance.

We are looking for someone with a broad skill set and a flexible approach, as some evening delivery may be required.
