16 - 18 Study Programme
Tailored study programme fostering skills, confidence, and ambitions.
Our Great Start study programme is an alternative provision to sixth form or college, it is designed specifically for young people aged 16-18 or up to 24 with an EHCP.
The programme helps you achieve your chosen qualifications and build your confidence and inspire you to do more so can achieve your educational or career ambitions. We provide a safe and supported environment for you to flourish.
The level of qualification you study will depend on the qualification level you have already achieved. If you do not have current qualifications we will ensure you are enrolled on a level that is appropriate and ambitious.

- Functional Skills maths & English
- Work Skills
- Safeguarding
- Work Experience
To embed the knowledge and skills you have learned in the classroom, we will help source you work experience as part of your programme. Work experience builds your confidence in the world of work and brings your learning to life.
Parents/Guardians or support organisations
One of our team will discuss with you the young person’s needs, educational attainment, personal circumstances and any challenges or barriers to agree a suitable plan and organise the next steps.
