This is your special day and we want to make sure it’s as enjoyable and safe for you and all our guests as it can be. Take your time to read through the information below and get in touch if you have any questions prior to the day.
Time and Date
Graduation is taking place on Wednesday 6th October 2021. Details of the timings will be released closer to the event.
Venue
The event is being held at Arlington Arts Centre, Mary Hare, Arlington Manor, Snelsmore Common, Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 3BQ.
There is ample parking onsite.
Dress Code
This is a celebratory event and it will be attended by graduates, family, friends and employers. Therefore, please dress smartly. More details about graduation gowns can be found below.
Seating
There will be a seating plan in the auditorium and WBTC staff will be on hand to direct you to your seat.
Photography
A photographer will be available from on the day to take individual photos of graduates in their gowns. This will be on a first come first served basis. The photographer will also be available after the ceremonies if you would like a formal photo with your guest. Photographs will be available to you free of charge after the event. Details will be given to you on the day.
Photographs and videos taken on the day will also be used in marketing promotions by WBTC on the day and after the event. If for any reason you do not want your images used for marketing purposes, please speak to a member of WBTC staff.
Graduate Gowns
Graduates will be wearing the full graduation attire as per university graduation ceremonies (gown, hood and mortarboard).
- Intermediate apprentices will wear a purple stole
- Advanced apprentices will wear a gold stole
- Higher apprentices will wear a purple and gold stole
You will order your graduation gown on the response form to confirm your attendance.
Please note, the clothes underneath your gown will be visible.
Guests
All graduates can bring one guest. If you have requested additional guest places we will let you know if these are available nearer the date. Please note that we can’t guarantee more than one guest space per graduate.
